To think, I was concerned about Stacey and how she would get along here in poor little New Zealand, where they probably don't get as many films in the local theatres. Hah! Wellington is, if nothing else, a city with a very vibrant film community. It has been one string of film festivals after another, with (seemingly) every nationality or region of the world represented. Wellington has a strong film society that packs them in at every screening. And, there are peripheral & fringe film events that are put on by other organizations, such as the NZ Film Archives and the NZ Film Commission. No, there is no worry about Stacey having a shortage of films to see. The only thing she misses right now is her old Variety Club Card.
