Blame Canada

e

Last week, we were watching the US news shows (Stacey tapes them) and seeing the reports of the wild weather in the Northeastern US. Frigid air had come down and mixed with warm air, resulting in storms and generally causing chaos.

As I was watching the graphics for this news story, I suddenly realised something about the way they labelled the graphic...

It wasn't cold air that was causing the trouble. And it wasn't even northern or arctic air. It was Canadian air. Oversight or intentional, what do you think? They may as well have added some bomber planes with maple leaves on their wings to the graphic.

I am a little surprised the red air coming from the South was not labelled 'Cuban air'.

Here's a link to a funny commentary that explores this topic further...

Oh, it's easy for you to laugh, you're not stuck over here in the semi permanent sauna that we call the outdoors. Perhaps they label it Canadian air to enrage conservatives, who are terrified that someday we will have the dreaded CANADIAN STYLE HEALTH CARE!
