Closing In

Well, most of our stuff is gone. What you see in this photo is (mostly) what is going to New Zealand with us.

Note the lack of furniture? Only one piece, our living room table, has officially made the cut. We love that table. The moving company is coming over tonight to look at the assortment and pass a prelimary judgement on whether it will all fit in the 'liftvan' container, which as I recall is a 7' x 4' x 7' box. Our friend Sally pointed out that what we are going through in deciding what to take is akin to what someone must experience before a flood hits their home. Only we get more time, to allow for procrastination (and occasional bouts of mind-changing).

The house closing is Wednesday, and we'll have to be out by Friday at 6:00. Just a few more days and then we will be homeless! Not really, dont worry! Stacey's Mom and Dad have agreed to take us in for the last month we will be in Atlanta (thanks, guys!) and we have promised to behave. Well, I have at least.

Been checking on the weather in Wellington and it's cold there! But we are thinking ahead and Stacey has already been looking up some NZ beaches in anticipation of Summer. I can't wait to get there.
