Had to share this photo of a most cool sculpture, a 3-legged robotic monster in the tradition of War of the Worlds. Mounted to the top of the mechanoid is a film projector, which looks surpisingly menacing with a single glowing evil eye. The sculpture was given to the city by WETA Workshops, Peter Jackson's special effects production company.
Speaking of Science Fiction, next Wednesday I attend a meeting of the Wellington Science Fiction Society, where I get to hang out with fellow geeks and talk about otherworldy things.
