Kaitoke Regional Park

Photos from Kaitoke Regional Park, which offers short leisurely walks in the bush, past a stony river and through deep gorges. (LOTR trivia note: This was the filming location for Rivendell/Imladris). After this, Stacey and I went to Belmont Regional Park where we did some more challenging tramping along a trail described as a "wet scramble" and "prepare to get your feet wet." No photos exist from that excursion. Let's just say the trail desciption was accurate. Hehe.

Stacey was telling me about your trip out West, Joan! It sounds like you had a great time. We really liked the landscapes in Colorado ourselves. Unfortunately, we were not crazy about Denver which was the only place for job prospects.

Kennesaw is a good hike, I am told lots of people use it as a training area in preparing to hike the A.T. Ken Poskey and I have hiked on it a couple of times. You can also do a bunch of loops around other parts of the park that are quite nice.

Ken, did I sense a slight budge in your willingess (or lack of) to take a plane across the Pacific?! Hopefully so, we'd love to have you.

Oh no!! It's actually size 87 cm pants I am wearing! Apparently this corresponds to 34". LOL.

Ken B., you are a riot with DA MAN stuff. Thank the Gods I did not accidentally have your entry cross my mind while in the interview, I would have started laughing for no apparent reason.

That is funny about the "trade show season"...I had forgotten what that was like. As I recall, at ES we had "seasons" that corresponded to certain genres of shows. Remember the Poultry show??? OMG, it was after that I went pure vegetarian for a while. Seeing those machines they use to 'render' the chickens from start to finish...grade-A nightmare fuel, they are!
